DPO

DPO is an acronym for Data Protection Officer, which in Portuguese means “Encarregado pelo Processo de Dados Pessoais” (Charged for the Processing of Personal Data). It is a position required by the General Data Protection Law – Law No. 13.709/18 – for all companies that process data. It serves as the communication channel between the Data Controller, data subjects, and the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
